Complete illumination system. This configuration has the DCR III fiber optic light source and a Dolan Jenner dual gooseneck fiber optic.
The Schott-Fostec DCR III light source provides superior light output intensity stabilization by using a regulated power supply to ensure consistent intensity of light output even when line voltage changes. It provides the very high light output required for critical inspection with high magnification stereo microscopes, compound microscopes, photomicrography, or macro photography or machine vision. Bright uniform diffuse lighting is excellent for inspection or re-work. Excellent color rendition, not the off-color light typical of LED illuminators. The unit has been cleaned inside and out, inspected, a new lamp installed, and tested. Includes User Manual a detachable IEC cord.
The Dolan Jenner dual gooseneck provides a convenient means of placing high intensity directional lighting in confined spaces while allowing the light source to be placed at a significant distance from the object. The adjustable output lenses enable formation of the light beam into a larger or smaller spot. Good for dark field illumination in photomicrography. Well suited for inspection systems requiring high intensity light at low angles of incidence (side lighting).
The dual gooseneck is supported by a heavy base to allow greater configuration flexibility be allowing the illuminator to be located further from the work. The gooseneck arms are 18” long (without lenses), overall fiber optic length is 34 inches.
Measured output (total from two arms):
4” from end of lens when adjusted for 1.3” diameter spot: > 11,196 foot candles from each arm (120,196 lux)
4” from end of lens when adjusted for 0.75” diameter spot:> 11,072 foot candles from each arm (119,178 lux)
4” from end of fiber optic (no lens): > 2851 foot candles from each arm (30,687 lux)

Please note: lamp life depends on the output setting and the line voltage at your facility. For the tungsten halogen lamp in this unit, reducing the output setting to about 90% increases the anticipated life time by about 400%. Setting the dial to the 75 to 80% point will increase lamp life ~10 times. Performance of the light source in this item is guaranteed, lamp life is not.

Damage in Shipment
