American Limoges China Set of 4 Soup Bowls

Description

First established in 1887 under a different brand name, American Limoges China Company produced a variety of beautifully patterned ceramics until ceasing operation in 1955. These 8-1/4” soup bowls display the “Serenade” scene showing a gentleman playing a guitar and singing to two women in a pastoral setting. The bowl rims are adorned in a 22K gold pattern design. These “Serenade” bowls were produced in the 1940’s and show little wear considering their age with no chips, cracks, or defects. Two of the four bowls are bottom stamped, “Triumph American Limoges Made in U.S.A. China D’Or 1T-S284 Warranted 22K Gold” but all are authentic.
